New Addition

Greetings! My name is Brie and I’m a young female dumbo who has just recently joined the Rattie Crew and this is my story. I was living in a feeder tank at a terrible pet store when I was bought by these snake owners who were looking for a young rat to feed their snake. Luckily, for me the snake thought I was too big and wouldn’t eat me. But for four days I was left in the snake tank as these heartless snake owners were hoping the snake would change its mind. Eventually, the snake owners took me out of the tank and placed me in this small hamster cage. I was some happy to be out of that snake tank! But my ordeal was still not over. I was kept in a dirty cage with very little food and toys as the snake owners had no idea how to care for an animal that wasn’t being used for food for their snake. A kind lady found out about me and contacted my new mom and asked if I would be willing to take me in. I thank my lucky stars that she said yes! My new mom said I arrived in poor shape – I was very thin, had mites, was sneezing, and scared. I visited a very kind vet who made me feel much better. In my new home I’ve been given excellent food, a warm bed in a big cage, and lots of toys! My new mom says that eventually I’ll move in with her other rats but for now she just wants to make sure I’m happy and healthy. I think I'll be well taken care of in my new home.

Oh my...she just breaks my heart. How beautiful she is. How can people live with themselves, I just do not understand. I wish you many happy years with your new little angel. You saved her life.

I agree with Miss Steffy: How can people live with themselves!
This story brings tears to my eyes. What is the matter with these people? Don't they understand that animals have feelings too? How awful these days with that snake must have been for this litte cutie.

But now she is safe. You saved her life indeed and more than that: she will now have a very happy forever home!

Brie is a little beauty and I love her big floppy ears!
Big hugs from Mom of The Rat's Inn and all the ratties here say that it's a shame what happened to Brie!
