Luna's Update

Mum and I deeply appreciate all the great suggestions on how to cover-up bad tasting medication! It makes both our lives a lot easier!

I did turn my nose up on the Hershey's syrup and the mayonnaise - yuck! I did like the fruity yoghurt and the pina colada mix for awhile but then got bored of it. Mum thinks I'm being way too fussy. Today, mum said she was going to try some strawberry daquari and if that doesn't work then she will try Ferretvite from the vet's office. Mum is determined that I take my medication.

Mum has also found a lump on my back so we made a vet visit. The vet took x-rays, which I did not appreciate, and it appears the lump is attached to my spine. The vet is going to ask the more experience rattie vet what she thinks about it. Although, it sounds like I'm falling apart, the vet says I'm still very bright-eye and still have lots of spark in me. Also, she was amazed at how well I could get around despite not being able to move my back legs. Of course, we rats are pretty tough despite our small size!! That's why our ancestors have lasted for thousands and thousands of years!

Oh, we won another blog award! The Rattie Crew is very flattered and we are pleased people enjoy visiting us. Thank you Jonathan!

I can still make a comfy nest in my log house!

I can still search for hidden treats!

And, I still enjoy exploring on mum's old chair!

You are one tough rattie, Luna! We animals could sure teach humans a thing or two about perseverence and courage! When I was really sick, I was a little trouper too, unlike Mom who complains about everything! MOL!

You're doing great!

Your furiend,
Mr. Fluffy

Glad to hear Luna is fighting with all her might - Mr Fluffy is right, animals certainly know about perseverence and courage!

You're welcome for the award too, you have a great blog that deserves a lot of attention :)

Keep that spark in you glowing, Brave Luna! Our Human is always impressed by the courage animals show when they are not well. In fact, our Mom is falling apart when we are ill instead of us!

Hold on, Luna, we all keep our paws and fingers crossed for you!

Oh poor Luna. Morgan lost the use of her back legs towards the last month. We hope you are still enjoying snoopin around. Mom gives us our medicine in Yoplait yogurt. It's our favorite. We are notorious for not taking our meds when we need to. Get better soon. ~The FLuffy Tribe Ratz *foofs*

You still look bright eyed and adorable, Luna. I'm glad your mum lets you explore, especially since you want to, and go about being a normal rattie. :)

Take care! (And take your medicine!)

Mom says taht you might try whipped cream or cream cheese. She also used to just use a small syringe to squirt it in their mouths, not fun, but it gets the meds in them. I wante to tell you I gave you all an award!
